Aswan High Dam

The magical high dam of Aswan was built between 1960 and 1970 to improve the economy and culture of Egypt due to its ability to produce electricity and save the Nile river flood waters.

The Unfinished Obelisk

The Unfinished Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) was able to stand the test of time and offer a glimpse into the skill and mastership of the ancient Egyptian builders. It was to complement the Lateran Obelisk at the entrance of the Karnak temple but was broken during construction.

Philae Temple

The miraculous Philae temple of Isis the goddess of motherhood was built in 280 BC by King Ptolemy II to keep the myth of Osiris alive through all the massive cravings found across its grand walls. It was relocated to Agilkia Island between the 60s and 70s as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project.
