Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa

The highly rare Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa is a Roman burial ground that became one of the seven wonders of the Middle Ages to house the remains of an ancient family tomb that dates back to the 2nd century AD. It gained overwhelming fame due to its mixture of Egyptian and Roman artistic design and architecture.

Pompey’s Pillar

The glorious Pillar of Pompey dates all the way to 302 AD and is known to be the only one of its kind in Egypt. It is an 82-foot (25-meter) granite column made to honor Emperor Diocletian plus it may hold the remains of General Pompey.

Qaitbay Citadel

The blessed citadel of Qaitbey is a majestic fortress constructed in 1477 AD by Sultan Al-Ashraf Qa’it Bay on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea in the same glorious location that once held the great lighthouse of Alexandria.
